5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) researchers have achieved one more unbelievable record-breaking speed of 1TB (terabit) per second during test of 5G data connection in 5GIC.
By University Researchers Surrey 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) managed speed of 1 TB (1terabit per second)per second, this almost thousands of times faster than current data connections. At Tbps, it could be possible to download a file 100 times the size of a feature film in about 3 seconds
As per media reports the speed is more than 65,000 times faster than average 4G download speeds, BBC News channel reported. Previously, Samsung Electronics has set 5G speed record at 7.5Gbps, which is less than 1 per cent of the 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) researchers team’s speed.
5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) researchers director Professor Rahim Tafazolli said, we have developed 10 more Breakthrough-Technologies and one of them means we can exceed 1Tbps wirelessly. This is the same capacity as fibre optics but we are doing it wirelessly Rahim Tafazolli said.
